Nick Ball Vs Naoya Inoue NEXT

On Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool, Nick Ball defended his WBA featherweight title against TJ Doheny. The fight ended in the 10th when Doheny's corner decided to stop it. This was due to Ball's POWERFUL pressure and Doheny's eyes were SERIOUSLY swollen! There was some controversy as Ball kicked Doheny in between rounds and even lost a point for pushing Doheny to the ground more than once! It was clear Ball was far superior and needed a proper step up next!!! Ball's undefeated record is now 22-0-1 and is now touted to face Naoya Inoue in a super fight sometime this year.

The undercard had some good fights as well:

Jack Turner vs. Ryan Farrag: Turner secured a second-round TKO

Andrew Cain vs. Charlie Edwards: Cain retained his British and Commonwealth bantamweight titles with a split decision win.

Jadier Herrera vs. Jose Macias: Herrera achieved a seventh-round stoppage against Macias.

Ionut Baluta vs. Brad Strand: Baluta narrowly defeated Strand by split decision.

On Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Caribe Royale Orlando in Florida, Austin Williams faced Patrice Volny in a middleweight bout, where Williams won by unanimous decision. SCORECARDS: 118-110, 116-112, and 115-113.

Williams' aggression allowed him to win against Volny's tight defense. Volny had great resilience and a tactical approach, however Williams' consistent offense secured him the win. This was Williams' second win since his loss to Hamzah Sheeraz, where he put the defeat down to the death of his Grandfather in the lead up and not sharing it. Williams' professional record is now 18 wins - 12 by knockout!

The undercard bouts:

Edgar Berlanga achieved a first-round TKO against Jonathan Gonzalez-Ortiz! This was a 'tune up' fight and a waste of time in our opinion.

Omari Jones made his professional debut, with a second-round TKO win over Alessio Mastronunzio.

Jamaine Ortiz won by unanimous decision against Yomar Alamo. SCORECARDS: 99-91, 99-91 & 98-92.
