Valentine's Fight Night - No love lost

“He's getting knocked out in the first round”

Strong words from Keyshawn Davis as he was nearly pushed off the stage by Denys Berinchyk at the weigh-in today!

Top Rank Boxing have an epic Valentine's Fight Night on February 14, 2025, at The Theater, Madison Square Garden in New York City.

WBO world champion Berinchyk will make the first defence of his title against the undefeated Davis. It already nearly started at the press conference and at the weigh-in earlier too. Berinchyk certainly has Davis wound up for his first-ever title fight...

Berinchyk (19-0, 9 KOs) spent almost 10 years on the Ukrainian national team, where his teammates included Vasiliy Lomachenko and two-weight undisputed champ Oleksandr Usyk. Berinchyk beat Anthony Yigit earning a title shot with Emanuel Navarrete for the vacant WBO lightweight world title. He stunned the world last May by winning the world title with Usyk watching on TV straight after his own fight!

Davis (12-0, 8 KOs) is the WBO #1 in less than four years as a pro, proving that he is one of the most accomplished American amateurs of this generation. He went to 10-rounders in 2023, knocking out Yigit and dominating former European champion Francesco Patera. Davis' last time out was a career-best performance in November, knocking out Gustavo Lemos in two rounds in front of over 10,000 fans in his hometown Arena in Norfolk.

The odds at the weigh-in were Keyshawn Davis -700  Denys Berinchyk +475

Berinchyk is a 9/2 underdog on Sky Bet currently and we think he may well be able to pull off the upset (once again).

Top Rank will not renew their ESPN deal, so they may not be shown on Sky Sports soon as well...
